This is a sponsored post on behalf of Blog Meets Brand for New Jersey Lottery. Blog Meets Brand gave me a stipend to purchase lottery tickets, and are responsible for payment.

Christmas is coming upon us fast, and I’m here to give you an amazing idea for a gift: The Gift Of winning! I was asked to be creative, so I came up with a DIY Christmas tree made from NJ Holiday Scratch off lottery tickets.

The New Jersey Lottery has four Holiday themed Instant Games available for the Holiday season. These Holiday games make for the perfect gift, stocking stuffer, party favor, etc for anyone and everyone on your list over the age of 18.

The best part is that you can find them all over the state, especially at the 7-11’s, WaWa’s, and QuickCheck’s! I’m spoiled to surround by all 3 of the major retailers, but just about every store has them available for a limited time during the Holidays.

Just look for the NJ Lottery Logo, and you’ll find your Holiday Scratch Offs at your fingertips. But listen, if you’re giving these away as presents, let’s have some fun! Just don’t put these fabulous scratch off tickets in an envelope and say, “Have fun!”

You’re better than that. Be creative. Last year I showed you how to make a DIY NJ Lottery Scratch Off Ticket Wreath, and this year we’re going to make a Christmas Tree out of these amazing little scratchers (Scratchers is a nick-name that we call them in NJ)!

Besides the Christmas Wreath, I’ve also made these amazing fun items with Scratch off lottery tickets:

Things You’ll need for your Scratch Off Ticket Christmas Tree

Here are the materials you’re going to need to make this amazing and fun Christmas tree:

  • 4 toilet paper rolls
  • sturdy tape (I used a Christmas themed duck tape)
  • regular clear tape (I used tape strips to make life easier)
  • 2 – $10 Cash in a Flash scratch off tickets
  • 5 – $5 Jingle Bills scratch off tickets
  • 12 – $2 Holiday Lucky Times scratch off tickets
  • 20 – $1 Holiday Luck scratch off tickets

Directions for your making the DIY NJ Lottery Scratch off ticket Christmas Tree

Step 1: Join the 4 toilet paper rolls together with your tape. make sure the tape is kinda sturdy so it doesn’t peel off from around the seems. It’s why I used duck tape.

Step 2: Put the $10 tickets face down. and tape together. Then tape the base of the tree to the backside of the tickets. I used 4 pieces of tape, and it worked like a charm!

place pieces of tape in the middle of the ticket and join to the toilet paper rolls. Be sure to space them out a little bit.

Then add a layer of the $2 lottery scratch off tickets. You want to come up almost an inch. Leave some space for the tickets going up the toilet paper roll. You’re going to need.

Then add another layer of $2 lottery tickets. It might not look like too much right now, but the tree will take more form after adding the top of the tree.

Build up the layers with the remaining $1 scratch off tickets. As you can see, I built 4 more layers with the top layer of the tree having 5. When you get to the top of the tree, you’re going to want tape them down together.

Once you tape them down to the top portion of the toilet paper rolls, you’ll wind up getting the form of your tree! The pressure of the top layer tickets will force the others down more!

If you want to add a little sparkle to it, run to the a dollar store and get a battery operated light set! How cute would that be?? If you have some fun DIY ideas to make with NJ Lottery Holiday Scratch off tickets, I would love to hear about them…and maybe we can make some more stuff together!

Don’t forget, if you’re tickets happen to be a “loser”, you can always enter them in for a the Million Dollar Replay! So you can still be a winner!

DISCLAIMER: Must be 18 or older to but a lottery ticket. Please play responsibly. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER®. Parents are urged to think twice about gifting lottery tickets to children. For more information visit New Jersey Lottery.

I love creating fun, easy, and delicious recipes for everyone in the family to enjoy and make. With my family of 9 (11 if you count my two pups!), I have to make meals for all different tastes and in a short amount of time. We made this Scratch-Its tree for a fundraiser but it would make a wonderful gift for Christmas or other special occasions.

The small tree was bought from a discount store. If you can not find a small tree create one using a plastic plant or a cardboard cone.
